It is now illegal to annoy people on the Internet

I was goofing around in Blabbermouth earlier and some one posted this link wih the comment "you are all criminals" or something like that. For some reason the BBMouth site seems to be down now. Go figure! Leave it to Bush and the jackasses in Congress to pass this stupid shit cloaked in a law set up to proect women.

Full text of this legislation.

I really hope this is a joke.

The internet is basically the last place on earth where freedom actually exists. If we let our government blow that for us, we're in huge trouble.

I really beleive this is a joke though. Even if it wasn't, what grounds could you prosecute somebody for "annoying" you? It's too subjective in language, so nobody will ever be convicted by this bogus rule.

..but you are correct that Blabbermouth.net would definitely be erradicated. Blabbermouth is to "annoyance of other people" what a whorehouse is to the prostitution law.

Kull would get locked up within a week, and nobody would cry.

Well fortunately for Kull, we would have to invade Italy to prosicute him.

But I need to find the actual law that was signed to verify this. I generally believe most of the articles on CNET.

Please post back if you find it. I'll call every legislator that represents me and demand an explanation if this isn't really just a joke.
