That was pretty funny, but this one was not funny at all:
28. The Troops
Charges: Rubes, the lot of 'em. Come back all fugly. They keep telling John McCain they want to win. They need so much support, it's clingy and sad. Matching outfits? Kind of gay.
Exhibit A: Too cheap to buy their own body armor.
Sentence: Walter Reed.
If it was humorous it'd be fine, but it's obviously written by a contemptuous shitbag.
Sentence: Forced to drink at a bar near Marine Corp's Camp LeJeune with a T-shirt wearing his own words printed on it. Subsequently gets his ass beaten raw by drunken Marines.
Problem: This has clearly happened to him before. He probably lost a wife or girlfriend to a serviceman too.
I think he was attempting to be funny, but missed the mark in a way that he shoul have known would offend many people that don't deserve to be offended.
It's one thing to talk about how fucked this war is, but leave the troops alone.
However, I did find "Matching outfits? Kind of gay" a bit funny.
