This was truly a horrific event. I am still in total disbelief that an individual could be so brutal. My heart and my thoughts go to all of those affected by this tragedy.

I have been hearing many attempt to use this event as a need to review our nation's gun control laws. I don't understand how anyone on any side of this argument would attempt to politicize such a tragedy. Stricter gun control laws would not have prevented this, nor would more lax laws.

I’m sure that the authorities could have done more to protect the students and faculty at Virginia Tech, but I strongly believe that no one could have began to fathom the events that unfolded yesterday at the school. Hopefully, all schools can review the events at VT and be better prepared to handle any similar situation.

This is just a hearbreaker. I totally agree that somebody fucked enough in the head to kill innocent people like that obviously isn't going to let a gun law stand in his way.

What's so sad is that it doesn't make any sense. There's no mystery around this story, it's all been played out but the sadness from such an unfair murder.
