Sen. Obama takes aim at Bush's Energy Policies

Today in a statement prepared for AP, Ill. Senator Barrack Obama blasted the the Bush administration's energy and environmental policies. "As gas prices keep rising, the Middle East grows ever more unstable and the ice caps continue to melt, we face a now-or-never, once-in-a-generation opportunity to set this country on a different course," Obama said.

Obama suggested that the government should provide tax breaks and loan guarantees to companies that become leaders in the movement towards more environmentally friendlier energy sources. One suggestion came in legislation he introduce to Congress that would help the big three automakers pay for retiree health care, so the auto makers can reinvest this money in retooling their factories to produce more fuel-efficient cars.

Diesel engines can be adapted to run on biofuels. Hybrids are nice, they do save some gas, but the bottom line is that the gasoline era is quickly coming to a close. So hybrids can only help so much.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, OBAMA WILL BE PRESIDENT!!! It really feels good to be from Illinois!

I like Obama too. But by the time he makes it to president, he'll be so co-opted and compromised that you won't even recognize him anymore.

This system is like Midas in reverse. Everyone it touches turns to shit

Correction:

All post-1994 factory diesel motors require no modifications to run on biodiesel.

Just fill it up and get on with your life.

The only thing they changed in 1994 was to use all metal fittings in fuel lines. Biodiesel will dissolve natural rubber.

Mechanically, biodiesel is superior because of its cleaning properties. It leaves fewer deposits, and mechanics don't have to wear gloves when handling parts because it won't irritate your skin. It also has a higher flash point, making it safer for mechanics to work with in the shop.

That, and it's American made. Pick a favorite reason out of those, you can't go wrong.
