What a great day!!

Bush's poll numbers are now at 34% approval and going down faster than a fat girl in Clinton's office. Cheney's at 18%. Eighteen-friggin-percent!!! I think Pancreatic Cancer has a higher approval rating than Dead Eye Dick.

OK now all you GOParrots, lets start your mantra:

"Blame the Librul Medya! Blame the Librul Medya! AWK!! AWK!!"

I don't even think a GOP parrot would step in to try and excuse Bush at this point. Bush even has Ann Coulter on his ass, read all about it at www.anncoulter.com.

Liberal media spin isn't even relevant anymore, because Fox News alone beat, and is still beating to death every other news vendor on earth. Even though some FNC commentators obviously bring a slanted approach, the commercial success of FNC has forced traditionally leftist media outlets to straighten up, or face the same fate as Air America.

Bush deserves that approval rating because of the Dubai port deal, which I think is a case where he made a huge mistake and isn't quite ready to apologize for it yet. Also, nomatter how much faith we have in our leadership, their post-war strategy in Iraq is becoming an ineffective boondoggle. I just lost a comrade and a friend last week to a roadside bomb. Rest in Peace, 2nd Lt. Fitzgerald, Citadel Class of 2004, Mike Co.

Dick Cheney's approval rating is supposed to be low, or he's not doing a good job as a VP. Dick "The Hammer" Cheney isn't the guy that people vote for, he's the guy that actually moves the earth. He's the Master of Puppets, if you will. I don't always like him because he's too much of a Republican, and not enough independant, but I do admire the way he gets things done. The President has to look good on TV and be nice to everybody, the VP can get real and say and do what needs to be said and done. An approval of 18% is just about right for a VP that's moving and shaking.

If you have an approval rating of 18%, it doesn't matter how much moving and shaking you're doing. You have lost the confidence of the American people.

I still fail to see how anyone can take coulter seriously s/he is so full of hatred that I am unable to read more than a paragraph of her articles without becoming pissed.

Yes, Cheney does not have the confidence of the voters, but it's been proven time and time again that voters don't really care much about the VP. The voters don't beleive in him, but the President does, and that's the only thing that really matters about Cheney's job, for better or for worse.

I'm not saying that's right or wrong, but that's how American politics works these days.

Besides, Cheney has no political ambitions beyond the Vice Presidency, which I consider a gigantic advantage. Some VP's spend time getting photo-ops and polishing a reputation for a future Presidential campain. One thing I like about Cheney is that he was hired to do a job, not look pretty and suck up to people. We can disagree about the job he was given, but at least we know he's good at what he does, and he's not one ounce of fakeness or PC.

Oh, and I don't take Coulter seriously, either. I read it strictly for entertainment, because she's damn near legendary at it, but even the greatest of entertainers do occasionally make a noteworthy point.

Bottom line is, unless the Swift Liars and Diebold come up with really amazing schemes that make 2004 look like the plot of a Scooby Doo episode, the GOPigs should take a beating this year that will rival the one the Dems took in 1994. I think that the current mass Rat Jump off Bush's Ship of Fools by yesterday's Blind Loyalist Repunks will be too little too late for many of them.

The American people will remember how today's Administration "critics" were busy sucking Bush's fumes for the past four years while accusing everyone who didn't follow suit of everything from Cowardice to Treason.

And by the way, I love Ann Coulter. Hope she never goes away. She serves her purpose of reminding every decent American just how vile, inhuman and hate-filled the current Right Wing junta and their supporters really are. She is the raging ID of the rightwing that most of the rest of the extremists is wise enough to hide beneath reasonable sounding rhetoric. Coulter exposes the black heart of modern conservatism.

Okay, a couple of comments on Coulter.

She is not a Republican, though she sometimes refers to herself as one in her columns. She was in talks with the Libertarian Party when she was flirting with a Congressional Campaign in her home state. She had a disagreement with them over the priority of the legalization of drugs, so she dropped the campaign altogether as she couldn't find a party to support her.

It's confusing to me too, because she's not a Republican, and she's not anything else, either. The GOP would never sponsor her, because she's far too critical of them.

In my opinion, she's the perfect columnist: 0% partisan, 100% entertaining. Well-read and well-spoken, I enjoy reading her well-constructed arguments even when I completely disagre with her.

If Kool-Aid liberals could write as well as she does, maybe y'all could earn some ratings in the media.

Axe,

I agree that Coulter could be rather amusing at times. However, it seems that the only people who take her seriously happen to be conservatives. Furthermore, in academic circles, she isn't known to be particularly good at constructing good arguments. She relies on stereotypes and bad assumptions to back her claims. Notice how she always talks shit about "all" liberals, failing to discern the far left from American liberals.

In short, I don't trust her. I think she's academically challenged. I'm glad the left doesn't have to resort to distorting reality for the sake of ratings!

Coulter isn't a Rethug? HA! So, just who was her audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference a few weeks ago where she advocated violence against "ragheads," Joked about killing Bill Clinton and the Holocaust and the killing of five e out of four Supreme Court judges? Bill Frist and Dead Eye Dick were present and the house gave her a rousing ovation. Just who were the rest of the folks their with Frist and Cheney, radical blood thirsty LIBERTARIANS?

As for her being a good writer? Double HA! As so many Blabbermouthers are fond of reminding each other, just because one sells units doesn't mean they are any good. There is obviously a huge audience out there for poor quality product. Sure, Faux News and Ann Cunter get an audience. Retarded TV shows like Friends are huge successes too. Titanic is one of the top grossing films of all time. Britney Spears and Millie Vanilli have sold millions. Budweiser, McDonalds and Hostess have made billions of dollars accurately gaging the poor taste of a large portion of the American public.

So psychos like Coulter and O'Reilly found that they could make millions by appealing to the lowest denominator of Reactionary American Mouth Breathers. Yay for them.

Well put once again! You're on a roll buddy!

BlackLabelAxe said...

No, Coulter is not a Republican, she's a columnist who gets paid for writing outrageous stuff and making people with no sense of humor like BLSABOB fuming angry.

I'm glad you also tried to bring O'Reilly down too. There's not many opinion shows on TV on any network where you're going to find an independant mind and honest discussion. I agree with O'Reilly about 80% of the time, but I always at least respect what he's doing.

Again, BLSABOB has come through heaving shit all over everything. You'll never promote any of your own ideas for anything, because that would expose you to criticism. Naysayers like you will sit around and post your hate-spewing dissent over why you despise the "a bad idea today is better than a good decision tomorrow" philosophy while you sit around with no ideas of your own. I'm sorry, but "Bush is a moron" is probably true, but that's not going to get YOU elected, or even represented.

Maybe I'm wrong about everything, but what the hell do you stand for?

funny how some people take things so personally and seem to obsess on me.

Yep, I disagree with what was said about Coulter. Get over it.

I bet you that the REAL percentage of Americans who like Bush is well below 34%.
