I posted this on my blog too, but figured I would get a good discussion here. This is in regards to the whole liquid explosives story .........
Man I am sorry, but I am just not believing this shit. I just don't.
Now I know I have a bit of a conspiracy theorist in me, but seriously the timing is just so transparent. Israel and Lebanon ... Iraq ... Iran ... just seems that people were getting fed up with being associated with this whole situation, Lieberman got his ass handed to him. An incumbent (sp) senator who once ran for vice president got pushed out of the party because he supports the war.
I think it's all a sham, and here is why.
CNN.com has this story right now where they say the busted the guys from a tip from a spy. If this were true they would never have even told us about this shit. Those involved would have simply disappeared. They say that some are still at large. I have a hard time believing they would have let any of them get a way, with the technology we have in this day and age. No way.
This never happened, there never was any "liquid explosives" and they just want the population to get scared again so they will be too afraid to not support military action that is going on right now. Plus the whole "spy" story sounds like we are making progress, that we are going to eventually disolve these groups from the inside.
Bull goddamn shit.
Hell, I'm still convinced most of these groups are being funded by weapons manufacturers anyway, probably without the knowledge of the average brainwashed cult member who straps a bomb to their chest to go into a grocery store to kill children. But the head guys who make the "tapes" we see all time ... the Osama's and shit ... they take orders from the same people that Georgie takes orders from.
The big rich fuckers who are playing RISK for real, with real lives, real guns, and real fortunes.

You don't have to apologize for your cynicism toward what the media tells us the government told them. It may very well be a bunch of bullshit. I'm glad you didn't get swept into blind patriotism like many Americans do when shit like this happens. It's great to be on the left, huh? As Americans, our duty is to protect our freedom and democracy - by questioning government consistently. Unfortunately, people on the right have tried to take that American right away from us.
I think if this really happened like they say it did, then those involved would have simply disappeared.
The reason this is all over the news is because now the media is only talking about this one story, in true fashion, people only have the attention span for one story a day, right ....
I have a feeling a lot of people died yesterday, just not on an airplane ... has anyone seen a story on Lebanon today, Israel has an open window to really boost their genocide.
Good reads the past two days BND, nice to be part of a group where two sides can be expressed but also respected. There are some very cerebral individuals here.

Thank you sir. That's what I'm trying to do. The greatest assetthis country has is its people. We all think differently and have different views of what an ideal government should be. By talking with each other in a civil manner, we not only learn more about the other person, but we learn more about ourselves and why we think and feel the way we do.
Youve done a hell of a job, very informative, and much more convenient vs. a larger forum where theres too much for me in the few spare minutes I have here and there during the workday.
That being said, Ill be dropping the Ken Hawk handle here in the next few months. The advice column, I think, should continue for the time being.
You know, I returned to Blabbermouth a month back, and someone claimed I couldnt be the real Ken Hawk, as "he was much funnier." I see now that it is this hard to live up to the legend. =o)
I will continue to come here under a new name.
i've been following this rather closley. the media has done evrything except name the source, but have asid its some brit intelligence officer who infiltrated the ranks. if legit, there is now way his identity would have been revealed, even as vaugley as cnn has.
this seems to be a ploy to get the american public behind multiple goverments to engage in war. Pearl harbor was allowed to occur as a means of drawing the usa into a war. history is repeating itself, so it seems. throw in 911 and all these recent events. of course, its just wild speculation on my part
